Unified Register of issued Certificates of conformity and Registered Declarations of Conformity

Certification is a special procedure for confirming the compliance of goods, which is carried out by an independent organization. If the products are successfully tested, then the manufacturer or the seller receives a certificate - a document certifying compliance with the established quality and safety standards. Types of certification can be voluntary and mandatory.

Voluntary - conducted on the private initiative of manufacturers, retailers, suppliers. The objectives of this type of product certification are: ensuring competitiveness, demand for products, additional advertising. The objects of voluntary certification can be any goods and services that are cross checked for compliance with the standards of different categories.

Mandatory - conducted to confirm only mandatory requirements that are established by law. The purpose of mandatory certification is to ensure the ecological compatibility and safety of goods and services. The objects of this type of certification are those goods that are included in the legally approved lists, confirmation of compliance for which is a prerequisite for release into free circulation. After the certification is carried out, a certificate or declaration of conformity is issued that is valid throughout Kazakhstan.

Certificates and declarations of conformity are divided into national and Customs Union compliance documents.

Certificate of Compliance of the Customs Union (CU Certificate) - is a document certifying the conformity of products to the requirements set forth in the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, mandatory for the importation, sale and use of products in the CU member countries (Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) without additional certification of products under the national legislation. The CU certificate does not require re-registration in the form of a national certificate, is a sufficient document for import, customs clearance and sale of products specified in the certificate, unless otherwise specified in the Technical Regulations for this product and it is not subject to the National legislation in the field of radio frequency regulation, industrial and fire safety of the country.

Certificate of Conformity of the Republic of Kazakhstan (DG. GOST K) - is a document certifying product compliance with the requirements established by the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of technical regulation.

With regard to imported products, the certification can be mandatory for import, sale and use of products in Kazakhstan, if the product is included in the list of mandatory certification and is not mandatory for conformity assessment within the Customs Union; or can be voluntary for other purposes of the Applicant.

The certificate of conformity of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a sufficient document for import, customs clearance and sale of products specified in the certificate, if these products do not fall into the Unified list of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment (confirmation) within the framework of the Customs Union with the issuance of single documents and it is not subject to National legislation in the field of industrial and fire safety of the country.
